Yes. Nepalese students can study in Ireland on a Stamp 2 student visa after receiving an offer from an ILEP-listed course, paying fees and showing funds of at least €10,000 per year for living costs. Hub International Education handles the full process from Kathmandu.

Under the Third Level Graduate Programme (Stamp 1G) you can stay 12 months after a Level 8 honours bachelor's degree and up to 24 months after a Level 9 master's degree to look for work.

Most Irish universities ask for IELTS 6.0 to 6.5 overall with no band below 5.5 or 6.0. Some courses accept PTE Academic or TOEFL iBT instead. Hub International runs IELTS and PTE classes in Kathmandu to help you reach the score.

Yes. Students on Stamp 2 can work up to 20 hours per week during term and up to 40 hours per week in holiday periods (June to September and 15 December to 15 January).

No. Under the India–Nepal friendship arrangements, Nepali citizens can study in India without a visa. You will need your citizenship certificate or passport and your academic documents for admission.

Yes. Nepali students can study MBBS in India, typically after qualifying NEET-UG. Choose a college recognised by India's National Medical Commission and the Nepal Medical Council so you can sit the Nepal licensing exam after graduating.

Yes. The Government of India offers several scholarships for Nepali students through the Embassy of India in Kathmandu, and many private universities offer merit-based fee waivers. Hub International helps you find and apply for them.

IELTS Academic is accepted almost everywhere, including Ireland, the UK, Australia and Canada. PTE Academic is popular for Australia and New Zealand and gives fast results. TOEFL iBT is widely used for the USA, and the Duolingo English Test is accepted by many universities.

Most students need 4 to 8 weeks of regular classes. Students starting from a lower level, or aiming for 7.0 and above, may need longer.

Not automatically. PTE suits students who type well and like a fixed format; IELTS suits those who prefer a live speaking interview. A diagnostic test in both is the best way to decide.

Most Australian universities ask for an overall PTE score in the high 50s to mid 60s depending on the course. The visa requirement is separate and can change, so check the current Department of Home Affairs rules and your offer letter.

Yes. Most Irish universities and colleges accept PTE Academic. Check the minimum score for your course on the university website.

Usually a passport, offer letter, academic transcripts, English test result, statement of purpose, bank balance certificate, CA valuation, income source and tax documents, relationship verification and health insurance. Each country adds its own requirements.

No. Nepali citizens can study in India without a visa. You need admission from an Indian institution and your citizenship certificate or passport.

After getting an offer from an ILEP-listed course and paying fees, apply online through AVATS and submit your documents as instructed. Applications from Nepal are processed by the Embassy of Ireland in New Delhi. You must show at least €10,000 per year for living costs.

Yes, but fully funded scholarships are very competitive. Most Nepalese students receive partial university merit scholarships that reduce tuition. We help you apply for both.

Yes, in many cases. You need to explain the gap with evidence such as work experience. Acceptable gaps vary by country and course, so get your profile assessed first.

Most taught master’s degrees (MSc, MA, MBA) in Ireland last 12 months, including the dissertation or project. Research master’s degrees take longer.

Irish universities usually want a result equivalent to a second-class (2.2) honours degree. For Nepali degrees this is often around 55–60% or a CGPA near 2.8–3.0, but it varies by university and course.

Some universities accept PTE, TOEFL or the Duolingo English Test instead, and a few waive the test in specific cases. Most still require a recognised English test for admission or the visa.

Most non-medical courses cost roughly €10,000–€25,000 per year in tuition, plus living costs. For the visa you must currently show at least €10,000 per year for living expenses, and costs are higher in Dublin.

Ireland currently offers up to 24 months after a Level 9 master’s. The UK Graduate Route is currently two years, but the UK government has announced a reduction to 18 months, so check the latest rules.

The UK generally does not allow taught master’s students to bring dependants. Ireland also restricts family members for most non-EU students. Rules differ for research degrees, so check the current policy.
